Baguio | Day 2

Sorry for being late on posting this. I know I should have posted this a couple of days ago. Due to numerous job interviews I attended, I wasn’t able to post it in due time.

Anyway, let me start off with our day 2 in Baguio. We instigated our day having our breakfast at Cafe By The Ruins which we bluntly discovered from the movie, That Thing Called Tadhana. More details soon on my #BaguioEats post so you better keep your lines open, yes?

I Blame Myself

Almost a couple of weeks ago, I together with my brother and his two girl-friends (mine too) had a photoshoot at our crib. Essentially, this was the second time we had the former. The first one was with another two girl-friends (though the two were not that fond of the said activity unlike ours). Here are some of the outtakes:

Finally had my black mesh top incorporated in my look. At he outset, found the mesh top a bit absurd to wear. I even had second thoughts of buying it but for experimenting’s sake, I bought it anyway.

Having said that, here’s what it seemed:

Cat tee | Black mesh top | Black ribbon headwear from Forever 21 | Black creepers

Hype this on!

Happy 50th Anniversary, Lola & Papa! ♡

And now, the big day that I together with my aunt, mom & brother has been waiting for, came finally! It was held on our compound, or what we fondly call, the Taya0 Compound. (Because it’s the name of our family clan.) It’s been two or three months ago since we started planning and canvassing. And the most formidable but something we doted on was when we went to the corresponding houses of our relatives who resides far from our compound to took their part from the videos we made just for my grandparents.

Factually, we plotted and connived of celebrating it on a certain hotel or events place. But then, my grandparents told us beforehand that they hate being the center of attraction too much and invaded by many people. So, we decided to surprise them and celebrate it on our compound instead. For that, we really tried hard not for them to know our surprise party videos & party for them. We even gave them a customized yellow gold TGIF (Thank God It’s Fifty) tees which everyone who received it jubilantly wore it on the event.

Wait! Let’s respite the story first! I’m gonna be posting the continuation on my second blog post about this! Let’s set in motion for the first batch of the TGIF photos! These are primarily le preparations and more…

But first, look at the top design of our cupcakes and the cupcakes itself, as well!

(Note: The first 3 photos were some of our relatives who

resides on far places form ours.)

Note: This mob of hotdogs was mistaken to be only one of the designs in the food table due to its festive design! Tee hee!

More mob of photos on the continuation/second part of this blog post! 🙂

Resorts World Manila

Last January 5, we went to the place wherein you’ll surely freak out on and flip over in  the planet, Resorts World Manila! 🙂 Oh boy! If you already construe and skim through my past blog posts, you’ll comprehend how ecstatic am I to bug out at Resorts World Manila.

Before I cite what we’ve transpired and eventuated there, let’s holdforth Resorts World Manila’s milestones before winning 5 aliw awards last November. Read it here.

But then, there’s a bit lamentable happened. My aunt got severe colds that made her had headache. Henceforth, we didn’t able to relish the prodigious spectacles at RWM that it’s like in you’re into another world when you’re in it. And since we’re on a diet (even though, we never stay true to it to bits! Haha!), we resisted the other restaurants that’s in there and ate at Mcdonald’s instead. Here’s a photo of my usual french fries ritual. Haha! 🙂

Originally, we supposed to watch Sosy Problems at the Newport Cinemas. But then, my brother won Human’s Twitter promo and he claimed it on Human’s branch on SM Megamall. And it turned out that we had to wait the manager until 2pm. Ugh! 😐 Furthermore, we had no choice but to watch at the SM Cinemas. But then, just to make kwento first of what we ate for breakfast at the SM Megamall, we headed to Jco. Doughnuts & Coffee.

Stay tuned for my seperate blog post for that, yes? But for now, let’s set in motion and continue chaterring about RWM, shall we? Although, I must give the nod that our day at Resorts World Manila was pretty much fizzle & hit the skids! 😦 (Because of my aunt’s unexpected headache) Oh boy! But we’re gonna unequivocally & beyond any doubt come back there soon! And so, before our not-in-the-cards packing up, I took some photos (inside) & look photos (outside) there and have my fearless-or-peculiar look!

Why did I say call my look for this day a fearless or peculiar one? Stay tuned for that next week in my look post for this particular event, will you? For now, let’s under way with the photos I took at RWM:

That’s all for now! And I’m absolutely looking forward and have a hunch on going there again! And I’m crossing my fingers that whenever we go there next time, there will be no more deplorable reason that would make us leave too early.

California Pizza Kitchen

Almost a couple of weeks ago, we went to Powerplant Mall to meander and revel in around the mall. Stay tuned for my blog post about that venture in a few days, yes? In the meantime, let’s allude to one of my favorite American restaurant, California Pizza Kitchen or what we fondly called, CPK.

Let’s reel off & dechiper about CPK’s notable history first, from a legendary pizza to a global brand:

We opened its our first restaurant In Beverly Hills in 1985. Former federal prosecutors Rick Rosenfield and Larry Flax combined their passion for food with fresh high-quality ingredients to create innovative, hearth-baked pizzas such as The Original BBQ Chicken, Thai Chicken, and Jamaican Jerk Chicken, cooked in an open kitchen. The restaurant gave California a place in the pizza pantheon alongside Chicago and New York. Our California twist on global flavors resonated with guests, and almost immediately, CPK became a bustling spot for business and family gatherings.

Almost immediately after the first location opened, we expanded from California to more than 250 locations in more than 30 states and 11 countries. But it doesn’t stop there; you’ll also find us bringing smiles to the pizza aisle in your grocer’s freezer, taking the edge off travel fatigue in major airports all over the world, feeding eager fans at sports stadiums and students on college campuses.

California Pizza Kitchen completed an initial public offering in August 2000 and traded on the NASDAQ National Market under the ticker symbol CPKI. On July 7, 2011, Golden Gate Capital completed the acquisition of CPK and as a result of the acquisition, the company’s common stock is no longer publicly traded.

Global Restaurant Concepts Inc., a Filipino-owned company, brought the world famous brand in the Philippines. In 1998, the first CPK restaurant outside the United States opened its doors in Glorietta 3, Ayala Center, Makati City.

And with that, let’s now ensue with their palatable grubs/food that we revel in their branch in Powerplant Mall:

Fettuccine with Garlic Cream Sauce- In view of the fact that I’m excessively fond of pastas, this scrupulous dish really made my tummy tickled pink! Clap clap clap!

Quesadilla- I super love their version of this particular entrée but then the quantity of their serving got me BITIN, though! Anyway, I   hats off to CPK on how fascinating the flavors conglomerate in my mouth. 🙂

Canadian Bacon Hawaiian Pizza- At first, we’re having second thoughts of choosing this pizza for hawaiian is humdrum in any pizza place, right? But then, when I tasted it, it somehow made me not regret of ordering it. Pat on the back, CPK!

Lychee, Lemon & Raspberry Iced Tea- Uhmm.. it’s not that unconventional & it’s a bit customary for me. But on the other hand, it did quenched my thirst.

After we ate, this how our table looked like:

Before we leave, we even play with our food! Hahaha! 🙂 Silly!

And we took home Hearth Oven Foccacia with Checca which is extremely cheeeeeesy! Since I’m a fan of cheese, I commend you all try this, yes?

That’s it for now! 🙂 If you wanna more about CPK, visit their site here.

Before the #omgawards. :)

Hmm… oh well! I must say, I’ve been very blessed this year! (And I do believe I’ll be blessed even more!) 😀 Why? I’ve able to attend the Bench X Michael Cinco: Impalpable at the Philippine Fashion Week last June (Read it here & here.)

Done? Likewise, since it was on a friday night (TGIF, indeed! :3), I started out my day with my ever-boring PE class! As my eyes had opened on friday morning, I smiled like my mom had given me a 1o,000 shopping spree & my heart beats like it was riding a whimsical carnival ride! And so, my excessive excitement for the Yahoo OMG! Awards made my PE class even more boring! If I could just control the time, just so I can fast forward it, I would! 😛

And at 11:30am, we’re FINALLY dismissed! Yey! 🙂 And we ate our lunch at our home in Caloocan & surfed the net for a while. At 12:45, we started dressing up & surprisingly, the clouds started dimming & it rained HEAVILY. When I say heavily, it did rain HEAVILY! 😐 And so we rented a cab just so we can go to the other side in the LRT. Actually, before we went to the MOA Arena, we went to La Salle Taft (Mcdo) first to get the tickets to Vina’s sister, Nadine(the sister of the blogger wherein my bro won!) & we got not just two tickets, but three! 🙂 One patron & two lower box tickets!

Let me cut it out first right there! Stay tuned for my upcoming blog posts about the #omgawards for more info! 😀 On the other hand, I’m gonna cite what preparations we did 4 days before the #omgawards and onwards! After we wildly screamed at the top our lungs like a pro, we talked on what would we wear & where could we find are peg/s for our look,  think of where could we shop & all those stuff!

And on Thursday night, we had our fitting for the clothes that we will be wearing for the #omgawards. I even tweeted a sneak peek of it! 🙂 Amd since me and my brother were born camwhores, we took several photos of us during our fitting!

Stay tuned for my further post bout the #omgawards, in order for you to find out how I find this year’s Yahoo #omgawards and more. 🙂
